ESG
Like all Langtree developments, Parkside will be delivered ethically and sustainably
Parkside is being delivered with occupier requirements, sustainability, biodiversity, and community engagement at the forefront.
We recognise that many end-users require warehouse and office space that demonstrates excellent environmental performance. Parkside has been designed to match both economic and social value with long-term environmental performance.

Green Travel
planning
At Parkside, we have adopted a robust and sustainable approach to travel planning, focusing heavily on reducing reliance on single-occupancy car journeys. The strategy prioritises walking, cycling, and public transport, all supported by comprehensive infrastructure.
The site is well served by frequent rail services from Newton-le-Willows station (which is within walking distance), and by bus routes connecting to Wigan, Warrington, and Manchester. To encourage active travel, Parkside will provide safe pedestrian routes, including a heritage trail, and extensive cycling amenities including secure parking, lockers, and showers.
We will also promote car sharing and electric vehicle use, with 10% of parking spaces being for EVs. These plans underline our long-term commitment to sustainable, low-carbon commuting.

Community
Engagement
Engagement with the local community is at the forefront of the Parkside development and has been core to everything we do. Underpinning this is the most far-reaching programme of social initiatives designed to deliver long term benefits within the local community. This includes:
Regular consultations through our quarterly Community Forum offering a two-way channel of communication between the Parkside team and local residents, businesses, and wider stakeholders.
Through this forum, the local Battlefield Trust is helping inform historical notice boards across the nature trail.
During the planning process more than 80 businesses to date have engaged with Parkside regarding opportunities to bid on various works packages.
Support to be offered to those looking for employment opportunities at Parkside through careers coaching for young adults and work-ready support at all levels.
Parkside is also committed to supporting and upskilling local labour on-site through traineeships and apprenticeships.
